Privacy Policy for Truth or Dare
Last updated: August 25, 2026
Overview
Truth or Dare ("we", "us", "our"), developed by OSDev, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information Truth or Dare collects, how it's used, and your choices — for both the app and this policy itself.
Information We Collect
- Device information: We collect device advertising identifiers (e.g., Android Advertising ID / Apple's IDFA), device model, and OS version, for ad delivery through Google AdMob.
- Usage data: We do not collect usage data, analytics, or crash reports.
- Location: We do not collect location data.
- User content: Truth or Dare stores the player names and optional photos you enter for each game mode. This is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to us or any server. If you use the app's Import/Export feature, the resulting file is created and shared entirely at your own direction — we don't receive a copy of it.
- Account information: Truth or Dare does not require an account and stores no personal account information.
How We Use Information
We use the information above to operate the app on your device and to serve ads through our ad partner, Google AdMob. We do not use it for any other purpose.
Third-Party Services
Truth or Dare uses the following third-party service, which may collect information as described in its own privacy policy:
- Google AdMob (advertising) — https://policies.google.com/privacy
Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the third-party service listed above, as required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of Truth or Dare, our users, or the public.
Data Retention
Player names and photos you enter remain on your device until you remove them individually, use the in-app "Delete All Data" option, or uninstall the app. We don't store this information on our own servers, so there's no separate server-side retention period to disclose. Device advertising identifiers used by Google AdMob persist until you reset them at the OS level (Settings → Privacy → Tracking on iOS, or Settings → Ads on Android).
Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your information, and to opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings. Since your player data lives only on your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly in the app via Settings → Delete All Data. To reach us for anything else, contact us at [TODO: CONTACT EMAIL].
Children's Privacy
Truth or Dare is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app may be used by a mixed-age audience; we do not knowingly serve behavioral or interest-based advertising to users who identify as under 13. If we learn we've collected personal information from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will delete it promptly. A parent or guardian who believes their child has provided us with personal information can contact us at [TODO: CONTACT EMAIL] to request its deletion.
Age-Restricted Content
Truth or Dare includes an optional 18+ mode containing content intended only for users 18 and older. Access requires confirming you meet this age requirement, and we do not knowingly grant access to users who identify as under 18. Depending on your region, additional age-verification steps beyond self-confirmation may be required by local law before this content can be offered — confirm current requirements for each region this content will be available in before launch.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
International Data Transfers
Truth or Dare is developed in France. If you're located outside France/the EU, your information may be transferred to and processed in France or other countries where our service providers, such as Google AdMob, operate.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and encourage you to review this policy periodically.
