Privacy Policy — Wheel

This Privacy Policy describes how the Wheel mobile application ("Wheel," "the App," "we," "us") handles information when you use it. Wheel is developed by OSDev ("we," "us," "our").

Summary

Wheel is designed to work entirely on your device. Your wheels, slices, and settings are stored locally on your phone or tablet and are never sent to us or to any server we control. We do not require an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or any other personal information to use the App. The only outside data flow in the App comes from the third-party advertising service (Google AdMob) used to show ads, described below.

Information Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally, on your device only:

  • The wheels and slices you create (names, text, colors, weights, order).
  • Your app preferences (theme, accent color, spin time, remove-once-chosen setting, selected language).

This data is not transmitted to OSDev, and we have no access to it. If you delete the App, this data is deleted along with it, unless you have separately exported it (see below).

Import / Export

The App includes an optional feature to export your wheels to a file and import them back in. This file is created and stored using your device's own share/file tools (for example, saving it to your files, or sending it via another app you choose). We do not receive a copy of this file, and this feature does not involve any OSDev server.

Advertising

The App displays advertisements served through Google AdMob: a banner ad on the Home screen, and an occasional full-screen (interstitial) ad shown at natural points such as after creating a new wheel. To do this, Google AdMob's SDK may collect and process technical and advertising information — such as your device's advertising identifier, general device information, and approximate location derived from your IP address — in order to serve and measure ads. On iOS, the App requests your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before any data is used for personalized advertising; you can allow or deny this at any time in your device's system settings. On Android, you can manage ad personalization through your Google account's ad settings.

We do not control, and are not responsible for, how Google or its advertising partners handle this information beyond what is described in their own policy.

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, and the App does not require:

  • Your name, email address, or phone number
  • Account registration or login of any kind
  • Access to your contacts, photos, or location (beyond the approximate, IP-based location used by the advertising SDK above)

Children's Privacy

Wheel is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App itself stores data only locally and does not collect personal information, its own functionality does not involve children's personal data; however, the third-party advertising SDK described above is a general-audience service. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App in a way that concerns you, please contact us using the details below.

Your Choices

Because your wheel data lives only on your device, you are always in control of it:

  • You can delete individual wheels, or all app data, at any time from within the App (Settings → Delete All Data).
  • You can export your data at any time to keep a personal backup.
  • You can limit ad personalization through your device's privacy settings, as described above.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if the App's features or the third-party services it uses change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
