Privacy Policy for Tasbih

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Tasbih ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use it. Tasbih was built to work with as little data collection as possible: your prayers, dhikr counts, and progress are stored locally on your device, not on our servers, and the App does not require you to create an account to use it.

This Policy applies to the Tasbih mobile application on Android and iOS. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

Tasbih does not require registration, sign-in, or any personal information (name, email, phone number) to function. Any prayers, dhikr names, counts, targets, and settings you create exist only within the App and are stored locally on your device.

If you choose to export a backup of your data, that file is created and saved wherever you choose (your device's storage, or a cloud service you separately control) — we never receive a copy of it.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

Like most apps, Tasbih relies on third-party software development kits (SDKs) that may automatically collect certain technical information as part of how they function:

  • Advertising identifiers and device information, collected by

Google AdMob when the App shows a rewarded video ad (used in one place: to optionally extend the home-screen widget's active period). This can include your advertising ID, device and app information, general (non-precise) location derived from your IP address, and ad interaction data.

  • Basic network request data, when the App fetches fonts from

Google Fonts to render its typography. This can expose your IP address to Google as part of a standard font-loading request.

We do not operate our own analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking services, and we do not otherwise collect usage data ourselves. Every item above comes from the third-party services described in Section 4.

2.3 Permissions

Depending on your device settings, the App may request permission to show notifications, for optional daily reminders. You can deny or revoke this at any time in your device's settings; doing so only disables reminders and does not affect any other part of the App.

3. How We Use Information

Because the App itself does not collect personal data beyond what's described above, there is very little for us to "use." The technical and advertising data described in Section 2.2 is used by our third-party providers to:

  • Serve and measure the rewarded ads that can extend the home-screen

widget's active period

  • Detect fraud and abuse of the ad-serving system
  • Operate and improve their own respective services, under their own

privacy policies (see Section 4)

We do not sell your data. We do not use data for purposes unrelated to operating the App and the third-party services it relies on, and we do not combine data across users to build individual profiles beyond whatever our advertising provider does on its own platform.

4. Third-Party Services

Tasbih uses the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

and [How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services](https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites)

We do not control these third parties' data practices and encourage you to review their policies directly. Where your device or region offers a way to limit ad personalization — such as resetting your advertising ID, or your OS's "Ask App Not to Track" / limit ad tracking setting — those controls apply to ads shown in this App as well.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Information may be disclosed only:

  • To the third-party service providers listed in Section 4, strictly

as needed for them to provide their service (e.g., serving an ad)

  • If required by law, legal process, or governmental request
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of us, our users, or the

public

  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in

which case this Policy would continue to apply to any transferred information until updated

6. Data Storage and Security

Your prayers, dhikr entries, counts, targets, and app preferences are stored locally on your device using standard on-device storage. We keep no server-side copy of this data, because we never receive it — it never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it yourself.

No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information stored on your device or transmitted by third-party SDKs. You are responsible for securing your own device (e.g., with a passcode or biometric lock).

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Because we do not collect or store your personal app data on any server, there is nothing on our end to retain or delete. All in-app data is removed automatically when you uninstall the App, or you can clear it at any time using your device's app-storage settings.

For data collected by third-party SDKs (Section 2.2), retention is governed by that provider's own policy — see the links in Section 4.

Tasbih has no user accounts, so there is no separate account-deletion process to describe: uninstalling the App removes everything the App itself stored.

8. Children's Privacy

Tasbih is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details in Section 14 so we can address it.

Note for the developer: Google AdMob serves ads based on the audience settings configured for this App in Google Play Console / App Store Connect. Revisit AdMob's own guidance on child-directed treatment if this App's declared audience ever changes.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your information under laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), or similar regional laws. Because Tasbih itself holds no personal data on any server, most of these rights — access, correction, deletion, portability — are already fully in your control on-device: through the App's own export feature, your device's settings, or by uninstalling the App.

For data handled by our third-party providers (Section 4), you can exercise your rights directly with them — Google provides its own tools for this, such as [Google Account data & privacy controls](https://myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy) — or contact us and we will assist where we're able to.

You can also limit ad personalization at any time through your device's OS-level settings (for example, "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android, or Limit Ad Tracking / App Tracking Transparency on iOS).

10. International Users

Tasbih is available in multiple languages and may be used by people around the world. Our third-party service providers (Section 4) may process and store information on servers located outside your own country, including in the United States. By using the App, you understand that information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data protection laws may differ from those in your own country.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, to reflect new features, legal requirements, or changes in the third-party services we use. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this Policy when we do. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Policy. For material changes, we encourage you to review this page periodically.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties; Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory — including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

In no event shall [Your Name / Company Name] be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot be fully excluded under applicable law, our total liability is limited to the greatest extent that law permits.

This section is a general limitation of liability, not a substitute for a full Terms of Service / End User License Agreement (EULA). If you don't already have one for this App, consider adding one — it's the more appropriate place for usage rules and fuller liability limits, leaving this Privacy Policy focused specifically on data handling.

13. Governing Law

This Policy, and any dispute arising from or related to it or the App, is governed by the laws of [Your Country/State], without regard to its conflict-of-law principles — except where applicable consumer-protection or data-protection law requires otherwise (for example, EU/UK users retain their protections under GDPR regardless of this clause).
