This Privacy Policy describes how Finger Chooser ("the App"), developed by OSDev ("we", "us", "our"), handles information when you use the App. Finger Chooser is available for Android and iOS under the package/bundle identifier `com.osdev.apps.fingerchooser`.

1. Summary

Finger Chooser does not require an account, does not collect your name, email, or any personal profile information, and does not send your activity to us. The App works fully offline for its core features (Finger Chooser, Random Number, Coin Flip). The only outside data flow is the advertising shown through Google AdMob, described in Section 3.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following locally, on your device only — never transmitted to us:

  • Appearance preference (Light / Dark / System)
  • Selected accent color
  • Selected language
  • Countdown duration setting
  • Haptics on/off setting

This data stays on your device. Uninstalling the App removes it. We have no access to it and no copy of it exists anywhere else.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App displays banner advertisements through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google (and its advertising partners) may collect and process:

  • Advertising identifiers (such as your device's Advertising ID / IDFA)
  • General device information (device type, operating system version)
  • Approximate location derived from IP address
  • Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

This collection is performed by Google, not by us directly, and is governed by [Google's Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy) and [Google's Ads Policy](https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads). We do not collect, and the App does not request:

  • Your name, email address, or any account credentials — the App has no account system
  • Contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or location data
  • Any gameplay data tied to an identifiable person — finger placements, chosen winners, generated numbers, and coin flip results exist only transiently on-screen during use and are never recorded or transmitted

5. Children's Privacy

Finger Chooser is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If the App's audience or ad configuration is intended to include children, additional steps (such as Google Play's Families Policy requirements and child-directed AdMob settings) are required beyond what this draft assumes — flag this before publishing if it applies to you.

6. Data Security

Because the App does not collect or transmit personal data of its own, there is no server-side data store for us to secure. Locally stored settings (Section 2) are protected by your device's own operating system security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your region (for example, under GDPR in the EU/UK or CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have rights regarding data collected by third parties like Google through the App's advertising. Since we do not hold personal data about you ourselves, these requests are generally handled directly through Google's own privacy controls (Section 3). You can also uninstall the App at any time to remove all locally stored settings.
